This is a GSTOP designed leadership course which is required to complete the Program Aide Award. Learn valuable skills about being a mentor and sharing your skills, passions, and experience with younger Girl Scouts! Program Aides have the unique opportunity to serve as champions of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. All Girl Scouts who are currently in the 6th-8th grade are invited to attend Program Aide Training Workshop on their way to completing the steps of the Program Aide Award. PA training involves learning to work with children and adapting activities for special needs and situations. You will put your new skills to the test with activities that will prepare you for real life situations working with younger Girl Scouts at troop, day camp, council and service unit events.
PA Award Requirements: * Attend PA training * Help a troop leader with Girl Scouts at least 2 years younger than the PA, with at least 6 activities. Program Aide training is a pre-requisite for attending any Camp Aide programming at GSTOP summer camps.
