This is an active participation outdoor course. Participants will learn how to safely build a campfire. troop meal planning (yummy one pot meals), how to properly care for equipment, basic knots, and "Leave No Trace". Learn how to choose your tent, places to tent camp, tent safety, what knots to use, and proper care of a tent. Spend one night in a cabin and one in your tent.
Bring: "Outdoor education in Girl Scouting" book and items
from "What to Pack Checklist".
Prerequisite: Outdoor
101 training before registering to attend Cabin Camping-Tents training.
